Cyber Crime Help Desk An initiative from Kramate for Society

Individuals

Find out whether someone is watching, then make sure they cannot.

Stalkerware, shared accounts set up years ago, a forgotten family-sharing link or an old laptop still logged into your email are how people get watched. We check devices and accounts methodically, explain what we find in plain language, and leave you with settings that hold up. Where the watcher is someone close to you, we plan the clean-up so it does not escalate things.

  • Stalkerware and tracking-app check on Android and iPhone, done with you present
  • Review of every account session, connected app, recovery option and forwarding rule
  • Two-factor, passkeys and password-manager setup done properly, not just recommended
  • Written findings and a short routine to repeat every few months

Fixed fee per person, covering phone, laptop and main accounts. Quoted before booking; remote or in person in select cities.

What happens when you contact us

  1. Short intake call
  2. Audit session
  3. Fix session
  4. Report and follow-up

Signs this is what happened to you

  • Someone knows your location, messages or plans without being told
  • Battery drain, unknown apps, or settings like accessibility or device admin enabled for apps you do not recognise
  • Logins from unfamiliar devices in Google, Apple, WhatsApp or Instagram security pages
  • A former partner or family member set up your phone or knows your passwords
  • You have been through a fraud or harassment case and want to be sure nothing was left behind
  • You handle sensitive matters at work or in public life and need a baseline check

What is included

Device check

Installed apps, permissions, accessibility and device-admin services, profiles and MDM on iPhone, Find My and family sharing, SIM and eSIM status, and a review of recent app installs against known stalkerware patterns.

Account check

Active sessions, connected third-party apps, recovery emails and numbers, email forwarding and filter rules, and backup settings on Google, Apple, Microsoft, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and your bank apps.

Clean-up plan

What to remove, in what order, and when to do it, especially where a monitoring person may notice. Factory reset guidance where that is the safer option.

Hardening

Two-factor authentication on every account that matters, passkeys where supported, a password manager set up and seeded, SIM lock and UPI limits, and privacy settings reviewed on each platform.

Written report

What was found, what was changed, what to watch for, and a quarterly checklist you can run in twenty minutes.

How we work

  1. Short intake call

What you are worried about and who might be involved. This decides whether we move fast or carefully.

  2. Audit session

Remote with screen sharing or in person, with you holding the device. Nothing is installed; nothing leaves your phone.

  3. Fix session

Removal, hardening and setup done together so you know how each thing works.

  4. Report and follow-up

Written findings within two working days and a check-in call after a month.

What you walk away with

  • A clear answer on whether the device and accounts show signs of monitoring
  • Monitoring tools and old access removed, with a record of what was done
  • Two-factor and recovery set up so a takeover is much harder
  • A routine you can run yourself

What we do not do

We would rather lose an enquiry than mislead you.

  • We do not perform forensic imaging of devices for court; see the digital evidence service
  • We cannot guarantee detection of every possible monitoring method, particularly on a device whose operating system has been modified
  • We do not install monitoring software on anyone else's device

Frequently asked questions

Can you tell me who installed the spyware?

Sometimes the app shows an account or email it reports to, and the installation date narrows down who had the phone. We document whatever is visible. Formally attributing it to a person is a police matter, and if you intend to pursue that we preserve evidence before removal rather than wiping it.

Should I just factory reset my phone?

A reset removes most stalkerware, but it also destroys evidence, and if the watcher knows your Google or Apple password they are back in as soon as you sign in. We secure the accounts first, decide whether evidence is needed, then reset if that is the cleanest route.

Is this only for people with an abusive partner?

No. Many clients come after a fraud or account takeover, before a divorce or a job change, or because they handle sensitive work. The audit is the same; the clean-up plan changes depending on who might be watching and how they would react.

Do you need my passwords?

No. You stay in control of the device and type anything that needs typing, including passwords and codes. We look at the screens with you, point out what to open and explain what each setting means. That is also why we prefer you present rather than handing the device over, and why nothing is installed or copied during the audit.
